Having a thankful heart can change your entire perspective and outlook on life. One of the best ways to experience the power of thanksgiving is through prayer. Even amid the COVID-19 pandemic, we can share blessings with job loss, sickness, and loss; when we offer a prayer of thanks to God, our focus shifts from our problems to our benefits. And that's the beauty of faith and thanksgiving - we can experience gratitude and give thanks despite the circumstances and storms surrounding us.
The year 2020 came with a pandemic; the association did not account for the loss of any of its members. The year 2021 also came with its challenges, but thankfully, none of the pandemics affected the members. In the spirit of thanksgiving, the association members came together to thank God for his mercy and safety.
According to the word of God in the Bible, Psalm 91: 7- 13 ---
A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.
Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
In their hands, they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
It was a successful get-together where everyone had fun, wine, and dine together and had time to reminisce over the past year and hope for a good year ahead (2022).
We shall come together next year to do it again.
